The VP, Talent Acquisition is directly responsible for building and developing best in class talent acquisition and workforce strategies to attract top talent and build high performing, diverse talent pipelines. This leader will identify opportunities to strengthen and modernize Mercy’s talent acquisition function, ensuring that the department is providing high quality service to its customers and staying abreast of market trends and challenges that may impact recruitment and retention. This executive will focus on multi-faceted recruitment strategies that will meet the health system’s needs while partnering with senior leaders across the different entities. The VP, Talent Acquisition will collaborate closely with Mercy’s system and market leadership to develop recruitment strategies and to provide data, analytics, and insights related to attracting top talent across departments and markets.
As a key member of the Human Resources leadership team, the VP will support continuous process improvement and leverage best practices, tools, technology, and vendors to drive quality hiring decisions. The VP will actively explore innovative strategies to optimize workforce utilization through alternative care models, and will implement global sourcing strategies, tapping into diverse talent pools from around the world, to attract top talent and foster a dynamic and inclusive workforce.
The VP must have the style and approach that will allow them to work effectively across all levels of the organization to build a service-oriented and collaborative environment. A proven track record of success in bringing innovation, customer service and creativity with the ability to follow through on strategic talent acquisition initiatives will be required in the next leader. This leader must fully understand the critical role they play in the advancement of Mercy’s mission in its Ministry. This key leader must be a forward-thinking visionary who anticipates the needs of colleagues and the organization.
