Archbold, located in Thomasville, Georgia seeks an accomplished, collaborative finance executive to serve as its next Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who brings a strategic, business orientation coupled with financial discipline, and a drive toward innovation and growth.
Archbold is a high-performing, independent, not-for-profit health system serving southern Georgia and Northern Florida. Archbold is licensed for 669 beds and anchored by its flagship Archbold Memorial, a 264-bed acute-care hospital. With revenues of approximately $500 million (and growing), the health system is comprised of nearly 3,000 teammates and hundreds of exceptional medical providers.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Archbold, Darcy Craven, the CFO functions as a key leader of the Archbold senior management team. The senior management team is defined as a dedicated, energetic and collegial team that believes success is carefully planned with intentional execution. The CFO is directly responsible for all financial operations of Archbold including but not limited to finance, accounting, treasury, revenue cycle, and payer contracting. The CFO serves as the executive leader of the Board’s Finance Committee and is the chief financial adviser to the CEO and Board of Directors providing critical financial expertise in the areas of bond financing, cash and debt management, insurance, third party payer contracting, and related areas. The CFO provides the leadership team with timely and reliable financial information and advice. The CFO will be integral to the development and execution of a long-range strategic plan, including continued growth of the physician enterprise and ambulatory footprint throughout the region. The CFO will serve as the key financial advisor for the health system’s growth strategy ensuring that Archbold is achieving its short and long term financial and operational goals.

The ideal candidate will have extraordinary vision and relational skills, combined with experience as a finance executive in a complex environment. The CFO must be an effective business strategist, working alongside the CEO and senior leadership, able to define and articulate a financial vision to a wide variety of stakeholders. Providing balance between strategic and operational finance will be critical to the future success of this executive. Additionally, the CFO will be a mentor to others, advocating for and strengthening financial talent across Archbold.
