Kenyon College invites applications, nominations, and expressions of interest for the position of Associate Vice President for Enrollment (AVP), Director of Admissions. This exceptional leader will join an academically rigorous, student-centered, residential, liberal arts college as a strategic partner to the vice president of enrollment. An experienced admissions leader, the next AVP will bring creative, strategic and mission-centric recruitment experience with a passion for liberal arts education.
Reporting to Vice President for Enrollment and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Diane Anci, the AVP is a member of the Division of Enrollment Management and supports the mission of the College by leading the dedicated and experienced admissions team of 13 staff in the work to identity potential students for its challenging and collaborative environment, recruit them with exceptional care and attention, select vibrant applicants, and compete for their talents with creativity and authenticity. The work will reflect a deep commitment to the art and science of enrollment management, balancing data-driven decision-making with a personal, human touch.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with a profound understanding of the admissions landscape and the unique challenges of small, selective liberal arts colleges. They will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Admissions Office, supervise staff, and coordinate professional development and training. The candidate will maintain strong campus partnerships, support key initiatives, and represent the College at regional and national meetings.
Kenyon College is a highly selective private institution founded in 1824 and celebrated its bicentennial in 2024. Today, over 1,750 students call Kenyon home. Students come to Gambier, Ohio, from every region of the country and corner of the globe — 48 states and 50 countries are represented by current students.
