Hammond-Henry Hospital (HHH), in partnership with Ovation Healthcare and WittKieffer, is conducting a national search for their next Chief Executive Officer. This is a critical leadership position for a collaborative and engaging CEO in a beautiful, supportive community near the Quad Cities.
Reporting directly to HHH’s Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the organization with a focus on achieving excellence in service and clinical quality. The successful individual will have a solid record of working collaboratively with a Board of Directors, in addition to building close working relationships with physicians and staff. The CEO will communicate a clear vision and strategic plan for the organization, and inspire the board, physicians, employees, and the community to work toward that vision as a united team. The CEO will have the ability to translate the future vision for the hospital into an executable plan focused on quality, performance, growth, and independence.
Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, IL is a 62-bed hospital offering acute care, cardiopulmonary, emergency services, home health services, imaging services, laboratory, long-term care, skilled care, a sleep disorder center, social services, a surgery center, and therapy services. HHH also offers urgent care clinics in Annawan, Colona, Kewanee, Geneseo, and Port Byron, plus family practice providers and clinic hours in Geneseo, Port Byron, and Kewanee. The Chartis Center for Rural Health recently named Hammond-Henry Hospital as a 2023 “Top 100 Critical Access Hospital”. This annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals based on results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEXTM. Hammond-Henry Hospital was the only critical access hospital in Illinois recognized in the category for 2023.
The qualified candidate will be strategic and inspirational and can capitalize on past success using innovation to address current challenges to prepare the organization for the future. The CEO will lead with the highest level of commitment to quality outcomes, patient experience, employee engagement, physician satisfaction, operational discipline, and financial stewardship. The CEO and the leadership team will guide HHH in the achievement of operational excellence and sustainable financial performance, and will engage the leadership team and physicians as partners in this journey. The CEO will lead with integrity and transparency and build strong and trusted professional relationships with all internal and external business partners.

The compensation for this position includes a salary in the range of $300,000-$380,000 annually, dependent on relevant experience, plus additional incentive-based compensation and benefits commensurate with the position.
