WittKieffer is proud to announce it is partnering with Southern Illinois Healthcare, located in Carbondale, IL to assist in the recruitment of candidates for the Director, Neuroscience Service Line position.
The Director of the Neuroscience Service Line is responsible for the comprehensive planning, development, and implementation of all aspects of the neuroscience division’s programs. This role involves formulating strategic partnerships across the system to deliver value-added services that align with the business unit’s objectives. Additionally, the Director leads strategic planning efforts to drive service line growth and development.
The Director will oversee a team of 60 full-time employees across three clinics, including LPNs, medical receptionists, and RNs. The role involves collaborating with various departments, including neurology, neurosurgery, and interventional pain management.
The Director does not need to manage day-to-day clinic operations but must support high-volume clinics and ensure patient coordination in neurology. The candidate should be familiar with Workday and Epic systems, as SIH has a well-functioning Epic system supported by a great IT department and Epic trainers to work with doctors.
Goals and Objectives
- With support from SIH executive leadership, establish a strategic plan that is aligned with the System plan and will result in the Institute being viewed as a regional leader in neurological clinical care, prevention, and neuroscience education.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the SIH’s organizational and clinical program structure to identify strengths and areas of opportunity to build a fully integrated and connected Brain and Spine Institute, providing high-quality, seamless, and coordinated care to the region.
- Develop credibility, trust, and approachability and establish productive relationships in order to advance the delivery of efficient, high-quality neuroscience services. It is essential that the Director be visible and quickly gain credibility as a leader who can champion the neuroscience clinical delivery model objectives for SIH.
- Identify, analyze, and pursue opportunities to grow neuroscience services and improve referral patterns.
- Advance a consistent, high-quality clinical practice across SIH’s specialty programs. Proactively guide SIH to enhance key patient access, patient outcome measures, patient experience, physician and staff engagement, and quality of care national benchmarks.
- Develop strong partnerships with regional providers of all types, providing an inclusive atmosphere that welcomes all high-quality providers regardless of their economic attachment to the organization.
- Recruit and retain highly qualified diverse specialists to support the highest quality patient care, outstanding research, and exemplary education.
Candidate Qualifications
Education/Certification
- Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Management, or related field
Knowledge and Work Experience
- A minimum of five years of technical and leadership experience with progressive operations experience.
- Must have a proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and the community.
The salary range for the role is anticipated to be between $137,945- $220,708. The final hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
