Indiana State University seeks a forward-looking and collaborative leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA).
Indiana State University is known for its high-quality education infused with experiential learning, community engagement, and career readiness. Since its establishment in 1865, Indiana State has consistently upheld its respected reputation as an all-inclusive, state-assisted public university offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. As of fall 2024, Indiana State University’s total enrollment stands at 7,895, including 1,419 full-time, first-year students. Students from all 92 Indiana counties comprise 71% of the student body. Additionally, 87% of Indiana State University students receive federal financial aid.
The next VPFA will be expected to partner across campus to align enrollment, revenue, and cost strategies; ensure effective stewardship of ISU’s resources; and build a strong team with the ability to collaborate across the institution. The Division of Finance and Administration at Indiana State University provides an array of daily services and support to the University community, including the business functions of accounting, budgeting, investing, procurement, facilities management, payroll, risk management, public safety, audit, and human resource management.
The next Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance and Administration must have proven senior leadership experience in the areas of budget and finance, preferably within an institution of higher education. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required and a graduate degree and/or Certified Public Accountant license is preferred. This individual must demonstrate a passion for Indiana State’s mission of transforming student lives.
