Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), part of Jefferson Health, is seeking their next Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. The COO will serve as the top campus leader at the Cedar Crest campus and Lehigh Valley Health-17th Street location.
Lehigh Valley Health Network is a nationally ranked premier health system with a rich legacy of providing patient-focused high-quality care. Based in Allentown, LVHN is a five-time Magnet designated health system, serving a dynamic and growing region with the third largest population in the state of Pennsylvania. The health network includes 14 hospital campuses and is home to The Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. The combined system, operating under the Jefferson Health brand is one of the largest nonprofit hospital systems in the US, with 32 hospitals and over 700 care sites. The merger aims to improve patient access to affordable care, clinical research and health plans, while addressing health inequities in eastern Pennsylvania. Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, with its 837 beds, stands as LVHN’s flagship hospital and is home to five world-class health institutes.
Reporting directly to the Regional President of Jefferson Health-Lehigh West Region, Bob Begliomini, the COO will oversee all daily administrative and operational functions of the hospital. This role demands an operationally and strategically astute executive who can develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders and provide focused leadership. The goal is to achieve strong operational performance, clinical transformation, and effective growth strategies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly relational, superior operator with experience in a large, complex, matrixed organization. Candidates should have a proven track record of ensuring excellent patient experience through high-quality patient care and efficient administrative processes. A master’s degree and ten years of experience in senior leadership roles is required.
