Orlando Health is seeking a collaborative, engaging, and inspirational operations executive to serve as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). The candidate will come from a high accountability environment and bring a focus on continuous quality improvement to the organization.
Orlando Health serves communities across Florida, Puerto Rico, and now into Alabama. The system is home to the area’s only Level One Trauma Centers for adults and pediatrics and is a teaching hospital system with 3,888 beds. Areas of clinical excellence are orthopedics, heart and vascular, cancer care, neurosciences, surgery, pediatric specialties, neonatology, and women’s health.
ORMC is an 808-bed teaching hospital in downtown Orlando specializing in trauma, cardiovascular services, orthopedics, neurosciences, internal medicine, and minimally invasive bariatric surgery. As Orlando Health’s flagship medical center, ORMC provides care for nearly 3 million residents. ORMC is home to Central Florida’s only Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive care to the most critically ill or injured patients throughout the community.
Reporting to the President of ORMC and Senior Vice President (SVP) of Orlando Health, this role offers the opportunity to join a diversified health system. Orlando Health is undergoing unprecedented growth and an evolution into a fully integrated system. The COO must be a fast learner, thrive in dynamic organizations, and bring innovation and the highest expectations. In addition, the COO will be comfortable collaborating with physicians and executives and will possess outstanding communication and influencing skills.
This role is critical to continuing Orlando Health and ORMC’s long-term success and growth. This executive will be responsible for the overall planning, directing, and monitoring of the day-to-day operations of the hospital. ORMC seeks individuals with a track record of success executing strategy and achieving strong financial, operational, and quality performance. The ideal candidate will be a highly passionate self-starter dedicated to providing high-quality care for the community. Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of senior-level operations leadership experience, preferably within an integrated health system, and be comfortable in an organization where collaboration, physician and employee engagement, and patient satisfaction are foundational priorities.
