Blessing Health in Quincy, IL seeks a strategic, collaborative and dynamic physician executive to serve as the Vice President, Blessing Physician Group (VP). This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with strong experience in group practice leadership and ambulatory network strategy to join a successful and growing health system.
Over the past decade, Blessing Health has experienced significant growth to become the strong regional healthcare system that it is today. Blessing Health is on solid financial footing, with a strong and stable balance sheet and a decade of consistent growth marked by significant reinvestment in the organization. In developing relationships with providers across the region, Blessing Health has built a physician network providing access to specialties oftentimes only found in much larger urban communities. The system is anchored by Blessing Hospital, a regional referral center licensed for 327 beds. The organization continues to find new ways to expand capacity and access while fulfilling its mission to provide high-level quality care to the region through additional facilities and sites. Illini Community Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Pittsfield, Illinois. Illini Community provides high quality care and access to Blessing providers in a smaller community located 45 minutes southeast of Quincy.
Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer of Blessing Health, the VP will be responsible for providing overall system leadership to a physician group comprised of more than 270 providers. The VP will work in collaboration with system leadership to develop and execute an ambulatory strategy to enhance outreach and grow services, while ensuring high quality care is delivered in a cost-effective manner within the healthcare delivery system. The VP will work alongside colleagues to design compensation models and lead the provider recruitment process. It will be critical that the VP is able to build strong relationships with providers based upon trust and mutual respect as well as gaining a quick appreciation of the market dynamics to identify opportunities for future growth and integration activities.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding physician leader with a growth mindset who is focused on improving operational performance and ensuring the systems and processes in place ensure quality. This physician leader will maintain a clinical practice on a part-time basis.

Minimum base salary for this position is $325,000 and the maximum is $550,000 based on qualifications and years of experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and retirement benefits. This position is also eligible for the management bonus plan.
