Copley Hospital (Copley), located in Morrisville, Vermont, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join this vibrant, not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital. With approximately $100 million in operating revenues, Copley has established itself as a key asset to Lamoille County and surrounding communities. The organization offers a broad range of high-quality inpatient and outpatient services, including a robust, well-regarded orthopedics practice which includes seven orthopedic surgeons, a differentiating characteristic. In recent years, Copley Hospital has been named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital; one of only two Top Recommended Hospitals in Vermont, and one of the Top 50 hospitals in New England based on patient satisfaction.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Copley Hospital, Joseph Woodin, this new role will have the unique opportunity to lead a variety of clinical and operational strategies and initiatives. The COO will partner with a high-performing leadership team and have exposure to a dedicated Board of Trustees in expanding Copley’s impact of healthcare services to the communities it serves. Candidates will be performance-oriented, operationally superb, innovative leaders with a track record of optimizing quality and safety outcomes, employee engagement, and operational and financial performance in health care environments. The successful candidate will possess exceptional relationship and team building skills, and bring a highly collaborative, hands-on approach to problem solving, consensus building, and advancing contemporary process improvement initiatives. Candidates should possess senior leadership experience, a strong record of leading performance outcomes, and a history of successfully building trusting, collaborative relationships with employees and providers, particularly with partnerships improving growth, access, quality and safety.
