Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX seeks a dynamic and experienced facilities leader to serve as its next Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Facilities and Construction. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for the Operations Division, the AVP will provide strategic direction and planning for the stewardship of 287 buildings with 6.2 million square feet of institutional supported space. Additionally, the AVP will provide oversight to approximately 200 – 300 annual construction projects with individual budgets of up to $4M per project, totaling up to $55M per year.
As an R1 institution, Texas Tech aims to excel in research and innovations, which necessitates robust infrastructure to support its research endeavors. The AVP’s role in managing research construction project initiatives at Texas Tech University will be pivotal for the institution’s trajectory toward joining the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU).
