Washington Hospital Healthcare System (WHHS) seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. This is a unique opportunity to take this distinguished community healthcare system to the next level of impactful and high-quality health services.
WHHS is the premier nonprofit healthcare provider based out of Fremont, California. WHHS has developed into a 415 licensed-bed acute-care hospital, with several outpatient locations, imaging, and specialty facilities, and has been identified as Alameda County’s next level II adult trauma center. The system generates approximately $600 million in net revenue yearly and operates under the Washington Township Health Care District and is governed by an elected board of directors.
The incoming VP/CFO will join WHHS at a pivotal moment in its history as the organization undergoes a cultural transformation and embarks on an exciting growth trajectory. WHHS maintains a strong financial standing, characterized by robust volume and specialized contracts.
The size and complexity of WHHS offer the new VP/CFO involvement in a range of financial and operational decisions. This executive will be responsible for the development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of finance-related policies, budgeting, accounting, internal controls, and the maintenance of records and procedures to safeguard the assets of the District.
Candidates should possess substantial financial leadership experience within a hospital or health system. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or CPA, are required, with public accounting auditing experience strongly preferred.

The compensation for this position includes a salary in the range of $442,000-$553,000 annually, dependent on relevant experience, plus additional incentive-based compensation and benefits commensurate with the position.
