Samaritan Healthcare is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and collaborative nurse leader to serve as its next Chief Nursing Officer. This is an exciting time as the organization is growing and building a brand-new hospital to proudly serve the expanding community.
Located in Moses Lake, WA approximately one- and one-half hours west of Spokane, Samaritan Healthcare is a 50-bed acute care hospital providing a full range of services. Samaritan Healthcare has been rated a CMS 5-star accredited hospital and 2023 Becker’s Top 153 Community Hospital. Their new 174,000 sq. foot, 50-bed hospital had its official groundbreaking ceremony in October 2023, and the project is on target for occupancy in 2026.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CNO will be responsible for all clinical areas of nursing and patient care services including strategic planning, integration of patient services practices, financial management, quality practices, and policies and procedures. Moreover, the CNO will nurture a high-performing nursing team dedicated to service excellence and continuous enhancement.
The ideal candidate will be a visible and engaging leader with an effective communication style who will advocate for the nursing staff, think broadly, and collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and other departments across the organization. The next CNO will proactively identify innovative strategies to improve quality, patient satisfaction, and nursing culture.
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $217,000 to $285,000 annually commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience. In addition, there is an annual incentive opportunity and relocation assistance. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the industry.
