Episcopal Health Services (EHS) seeks a strategic, collaborative information security executive to serve as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader to guide and advance information security which is a priority and key area of focus and investment for EHS. The CISO will be highly visible at all levels, including the Board.
EHS, the largest employer on the Peninsula, has a dedicated team of more than 400 physicians, over 1,500 employees, and many committed volunteers. St. John’s Episcopal Hospital is Episcopal Health Services, Inc.’s main campus location. The 257-bed acute care facility is widely recognized as the only hospital providing emergency and ambulatory care to the densely populated surrounding communities that are culturally and economically diverse and medically underserved.
The CISO will report to the EVP, Chief Operating Officer, have dotted line reporting responsibility to the Chief Information Officer, and will serve as an integral member of the leadership team. They will lead information security for EHS and be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust information security program and team with a focus on strengthening the culture of security through highly effective communication, governance, collaboration, technology, and vendor partnerships.
Key early efforts will include assessment of the current information security environment and development of an information security plan. Further, the CISO will effectively communicate this plan to key stakeholders and lead implementation in a way that advances information security to meet the business objectives of EHS.
The ideal candidate for the CISO position will be an experienced executive with a track record of success leading information security, preferably in a healthcare organization. The CISO will be a collaborative and strategic leader who can communicate effectively and develop trusting relationships at all levels of the organization.

Expected Salary Range: $287,000- $315,000.
