WittKieffer is honored to partner with Marin Community Clinics in recruiting their next Chief Executive Officer. MCC is the largest not-for-profit federally qualified community health center in Marin County and they provide comprehensive, high-quality primary health care to 38,000 individuals annually. MCC serves patients from all walks of life regardless of their income, insurance, or immigration status. Nearly one out of every five Marin residents are MCC patients and the population served ranges from impoverished to areas of tremendous wealth. The quality of service draws all to their clinics.
MCC has grown into a 21st-century provider with modern facilities, committed physicians, nurses and other caregivers, along with the latest technologies and sophisticated diagnostic, treatment and prevention programs. They employ over 590 staff, with a budget of $75 million, projecting more than 230,000 clinical visits in the upcoming year. MCC operates eight medical clinics and provides a full range of primary health care, as well as dentistry, behavioral health, obstetrics & gynecology, family planning, optometry, chiropractic, and several specialty services.
MCC’s new CEO will live in the community and be an approachable and engaged presence with all caregivers and the community. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to set the strategic vision for the health center, ensure sound financial operations, oversee program development and communicate effectively with all. The CEO is expected to take a collaborative approach and empower staff, meeting frequently with all to better understand best processes in delivering outstanding care and the pressures being faced. In addition, MCC is seeking a leader who will enhance the Clinic’s ability to raise funds and play an active role in identifying, stewarding, and soliciting donors. Recruiting and staff retention are high priorities and the CEO must focus on staff development, enabling all to see a career path and their impact on MCC’s overall mission.
A minimum of ten years of progressive leadership in a complex, multi-functional, mission-oriented organization with a diverse portfolio is needed. Senior-level executive experience in a FQHC, community health center, primary care facility or related direct care organization will be considered. Candidates should possess senior management level experience leading a multi-site operation and multi-disciplinary teams. The salary range for this position is $375,000 – $425,000.
