Chief Financial Officer
Duncan Regional Hospital
Duncan, OK - United States
Duncan Regional Hospital, Inc. (DRH Health), located in Duncan, Oklahoma, is seeking a strategic and growth-oriented leader to serve as the next Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of DRH Health due to an upcoming retirement. DRH Health is a two-hospital, not-for-profit independent health system roughly 80 miles south of Oklahoma City with a 45-year history of providing exceptional and compassionate care to Stephens and Jefferson counties and a track record of profitability under CEO, Jay Johnson, who has been leading the system since 2010.
DRH Health is home to a 110-bed hospital in Duncan (Duncan Regional Hospital), an 18-bed Critical Access Hospital in Waurika (Jefferson County Hospital), and 16 provider clinics in the region. Together, DRH Health is a $200 Million Net Revenue operation with room to further establish itself as the leader in rural health in Oklahoma. The health system also has a cancer treatment center, an imaging center, and a robust 340B program. The CFO will be an integral thought leader in the strategic direction of the health system, planning to support the mission and values of DRH Health. They will be responsible for all finance operations, accounting, financial planning, and treasury functions for the health system, but they must be able to think beyond finance and be a visible, hands-on leader willing to step up wherever necessary on behalf of the system. The CFO will be focused on continuing to bring the two hospitals together from an integration perspective and growing key services for the health system to help keep more care local to residents of Stephens and Jefferson counties.
The incoming CFO must provide strong financial leadership by being an advisor to the health system and a strong executive partner to the CEO and leadership team. The CFO will create engagement and accountability for financial results with colleagues and organizational leaders to drive the growth of the system. They will bring visionary finance and strategic leadership and continue to mentor, develop, and grow a talented team of leaders. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence others through inspiration, excellence, passion, and data. Additionally, the CFO will need to be equally comfortable presenting to the Board of Directors and local operating unit teams.
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative leader who brings a high level of connectedness and results to the leadership team. The CFO will bring significant financial leadership experience with experience in rural hospital settings preferred. They will be a genuine person with top-notch interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a superb active listener. They will have a track record of building strong relationships with the executive team, physicians, and staff. The CFO is performance-driven and a strong financial steward but never sacrifices patient care or mission. This is a tremendous occasion to join a high-performing team leading a community-oriented, independent health system that provides local top-level care to Oklahomans.
