Kaiser Permanente (KP) seeks a seasoned executive leader to join the organization on a transformative journey as the next Regional President, Northwest. The Regional President, Northwest is a critical senior-level leadership role for the organization.
KP stands as one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit healthcare systems, boasting over $100 billion in annual revenue. Kaiser Permanente Northwest (KPNW), comprising approximately 12,000 employees, over 1,300 physicians, and more than 140 dentists, is dedicated to providing and arranging medical and dental care exclusively for health plan members. The Northwest business unit generates an estimated $4.5 billion in annual revenue.
Reporting to the EVP, Group President, and Chief Operating Officer of Care Delivery, the Regional President, Northwest holds a pivotal role in ensuring KP’s capability to deliver superior quality care and service. This leader will be accountable for understanding and anticipating industry trends and delivering health care and health plan services to members and customers in the market. The Regional President, Northwest must balance and represent the multiple perspectives and priorities of the Northwest market and the program through an inclusive leadership approach. As an active member of the Regional Presidents’ Group (RPG), the Regional President, Northwest participates in the development of program-wide strategy on operational issues related to capital and business plans, budgets, performance improvement measures, governance boards, and investing in shared services capabilities to support the program.
The Regional President, Northwest will excel in navigating a complex, matrixed healthcare setting to identify solutions, drive results, and effectively communicate priorities to multiple constituencies. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 15 years of broad experience, including strong leadership and management skills and a deep understanding of healthcare industry dynamics and the managed care environment. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead and influence the quality of care for over 600,000 members in Oregon and Southwest Washington, spanning two Kaiser Permanente hospitals, five affiliate hospitals, and 36 medical offices.

This position pays $808,660 – $1,010,825 and is eligible for incentive compensation, an executive allowance, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
