Catholic Health seeks a strategic and action-oriented executive to serve as its Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This is a unique opportunity to lead information security efforts at a highly respected health system with more than 17,000 employees and more than $3 billion in revenue, which has served the needs of Long Islanders for more than 100 years.
Reporting to the SVP, Chief Digital Information Officer, the CISO will serve as information security leader for the enterprise. The CISO will be an integral member of the CDIO’s leadership team and have visibility to the Catholic Health Board. They will grow the existing information security program and team in a manner that matures the information security posture. Key efforts will include the development of an enterprise-wide information security roadmap that seeks to enable the broader strategic goals of the health system, further developing the resiliency of the cybersecurity program from potential bad actors and creating a health system culture where everyone from front line clinical staff to executives have a stake in the culture of security for the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a highly responsive, dynamic, and collaborative leader with a track record of success, leading information security, preferably in a complex healthcare organization. They must have strong communication skills and be able to develop trusting partnerships throughout the enterprise. Prior experience in a complex healthcare system is a plus, but not a requirement. The CISO must be viewed as a trusted adviser who is a team player, collaborative, transparent and solutions driven.
Catholic Health is open to the CISO being a hybrid role with consistent on-site presence as needed.

The pay range for this position is $300,000 – $350,000. The referenced pay range represents Catholic Health’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience, and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries.
