Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Vice President for the Georgia Heart Institute (VP) to bring an ambitious vision for growth and excellence to the cardiovascular service line. This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving financial performance, strengthening provider engagement, and elevating patient experience.
In this role, the VP will report to System Chief Medical Officer and work in a close dyad relationship with the Chief Cardiology Officer of Georgia Heart Institute to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives. This includes improving access to care, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability. The role will require translating strategic goals into tangible operational successes that benefit the organization as a whole.
A critical aspect of the position involves leading efforts to foster stronger relationships with providers, ensuring open communication, collaboration, and alignment with GHI’s overarching vision. The VP will work to improve provider satisfaction and engagement by establishing relationships with providers and inspire them to actively support and drive change.
From a financial standpoint, the VP will be responsible for managing the financial performance across the center and developing strategies to ensure the long-term financial sustainability for the cardiovascular service line.
The VP will also support ongoing recruitment, which plays a key role in building and strengthening GHI’s workforce. Finally, the Vice President/GHI will optimize operational processes and structures throughout the Institute to enhance efficiency, streamline care delivery, and support the service line’s sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced healthcare leader with a proven track record leading cardiovascular services in growing and competitive markets. They will be collaborative, inspirational, and adept at driving strategy and execution. This individual will also possess strong financial acumen and the ability to implement change in complex, matrixed, multi-disciplinary environments.
