This is an exciting opportunity to join a comprehensive medical and surgical acute care facility serving the residents of southwest Orange County, FL for more than 35 years.

Reporting to the COO, the Associate Chief Operating Officer will serve on various hospital committees while collaborating with the Orlando Health leadership. This will include the Hospital President and administration, the hospital management team, the hospital medical staff leadership, and the medical staff. Key components of this leadership role include monitoring quality, patient satisfaction, and budgeting standards while managing to achieve hospital and organization-wide goals.
The successful Associate, Chief Operating Officer candidate will:
- Ensure that a continuous improvement approach is implemented to measure actual performance against established standards for clinical and non-clinical services throughout the hospital and organization.
- Develop and implement mechanisms to ensure a uniform quality of care and the highest customer service is provided.
- Ensure a method to monitor customer satisfaction with respect to services delivered, utilizing corporate and/or unit-specific tools.
- Establish mechanisms to encourage research and to incorporate research findings into standards of care and policies and procedures.
- Measure actual budgetary performance (revenue, expense, staffing) against standards, and ensure variances are within established targets.
The preferred candidate will possess a master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or any other related field. FACHE credentialing through the American College of Healthcare Executives would be required to obtain within 2 years, and six years of experience in management of a clinical, allied health, or support service department is required.
