Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC), based in Lynn, MA, is the city’s leading health care provider and a recognized model and innovator among community health centers (CHCs) nationwide. LCHC seeks a visible, strategic and mission-driven leader to serve as the organization’s Chief Consumer Officer (CCO).
With a revenue of approximately $125M, LCHC serves over 40% of Lynn’s population and employs over 700 people. LCHC is Massachusetts’ third largest health center and plays a vital role in the City of Lynn from a health and economic perspective. The organization has a deeply engrained mission of providing comprehensive, affordable, patient-centered, quality health care. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CCO will lead efforts to ensure that LCHC remains responsive to its patients’ needs and provides equitable and high-quality care. The CCO will develop patient care, engagement, quality and access strategies that ensure that services remain focused on excellent service delivery and quality care.
The new CCO serves as LCHC’s chief patient advocate and collaborates with the LCHC’s Chief Executive Officer, Board and senior leadership team to represent patients in all organizational decisions and policy development. As the organization’s chief ombudsman, the CCO is responsible for improving patient access, enhancing the patient experience and instituting programs and services that maximize customer lifetime value and membership growth. This role develops and implements education, navigation and other patient support services that connect patients seamlessly to services within and outside of LCHC. In addition, the CCO brings the patient perspective into all strategic, operational, financial and clinical decisions.

LCHC’s next CCO will be a strategic, results-oriented leader with proven experience in building high-performing, collaborative teams and appreciates LCHC’s unique culture and past successes. At least five years of experience as a leader in non-profit, healthcare or a related field is required. Prior experience as a leader in healthcare advocacy, quality, patient access, and/or population health, working with a diverse patient population are key experiences for the role. The successful candidate will demonstrate a profound commitment to LCHC’s mission and the patients it serves, with expertise in patient advocacy, growth, quality and access. They will implement a patient engagement strategy that advances best practices in these areas.
