New Orleans – LA – Ochsner Health seeks a distinguished physician leader with a record of contributions in academic medicine to serve as its next Section Head for Interventional Cardiology. This position affords a collaborative and dynamic physician executive the opportunity to join one of the largest academic health systems in the country.
The successful candidate will join a team of five interventional cardiologists in the section within the Department of Cardiology at the Ochsner Medical Center New Orleans Campus, as part of Ochsner Health’s nationally recognized cardiology group of over 80 cardiovascular clinicians practicing at multiple locations across southeast Louisiana. This leader will actively contribute to outstanding patient care with a full range of interventional skills in state-of-the-art catheterization laboratories.
As one of the largest academically accredited interventional coronary and peripheral vascular training programs in the nation, Ochsner interventionalists are dedicated to the non-surgical treatment and prevention of heart attack, structural heart disease, stroke and limb loss.

This physician leader will bring a collaborative approach with emphasis on clinical quality, strategic leadership and a commitment to program building. Candidates must possess a M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited program as well as current board certification in interventional cardiology and eligibiity for licensure in the state of Louisiana.
