WittKieffer is proud to partner with the Community Health System to conduct the national search for their next Director, Information Technology Services. This is an exciting opportunity to join the leading healthcare provider in the central San Joaquin Valley.
Community Health System is a private, not-for-profit healthcare network based in Fresno, California. They operate four hospitals and a cancer institute, along with several long-term care, outpatient, and other healthcare facilities. Community Health System is led by local leaders and physicians focused on addressing the diverse needs and issues of Central California.
Reporting to the Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Information Technology Services is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and technical support of organization-wide information technology services and infrastructure including networking, telecommunications, servers, storage, end-user devices, and platform services. The Director will also contribute to data center management, IT-related construction, information security operations, technology research/development, and specific systemwide information system infrastructure technologies required to support Community Health System’s goals and vision.
The successful Director of Information Technology Services candidate will:
- Direct the utilization of information technology resources and be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and implementing organization-wide information technologies, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that the Technical Services organization provides measurable value to key constituents including health system management, physicians, staff, and patients.
- Ensure that the Technical Services functions contribute to organization-specific outcomes (i.e. quality, safety, cost, and satisfaction).
- Assign and coordinate the work of Technical Services staff, contractors, and vendors, as well as provide managerial and technical leadership within a structure that is consistently expanding through organization-wide system development.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Technical Services organization and implement necessary system modifications at minimum cost and effort. Remain current with technological advances and apply them to the CHS enterprise where applicable.
The preferred candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, and/or related field and 10 years of experience in developing high-performance technology support organizations, including organization design, staff selection and development, and progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare information technology services. A master’s degree in Business Administration and/or Information Systems preferred.
The range for this position starts at $197,475.20 and goes up to $256,713.60
