Tahoe Forest Health System (TFHS), a high-quality, independent, integrated delivery system located in the Lake Tahoe region of Northern California, seeks a collaborative, relationship-driven leader to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. This is an outstanding opportunity for the new CEO to build upon a strong foundation of success while preparing the organization for the future.
Based in Truckee, a vibrant and growing community 35 minutes from Reno, TFHS has established itself as a key asset to the community and region offering a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services to meet the needs of patients and their families. Today, TFHS is comprised of two hospitals (Tahoe Forest Hospital and Incline Village Community Hospital), 180 employed providers, over 1,300 employees and a growing ambulatory footprint including the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center. With over $350 million in net revenues, the system enjoys a long history of exceptional clinical, operational and financial success with a supportive philanthropic community.
The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for leading the entire organization to optimize the enterprise, inspire the medical staff, leadership team, and staff, reinforce TFHS’s competitive position, and ensure the organization’s future operational and strategic success as an independent health system. We are seeking candidates with a balance of operational and strategic expertise along with financial acumen and exceptional communication skills. The next CEO will be a highly visible leader who is naturally oriented to and personally invested in building trusting, collaborative relationships throughout the organization and in the broader community.

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $528,000-$710,000 annually commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience. In addition, there is an annual bonus opportunity and relocation assistance. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the industry.
