Montgomery Place, located in Hyde Park in the city of Chicago, Illinois seeks a mission-based, dynamic and engaged leader to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The role represents a unique opportunity to lead a respected and well-established, urban retirement community. Montgomery Place is a highly diverse and inclusive community located along Lake Michigan in the Hyde Park community that seeks to enhance the quality of life for every resident and for elders in the broader community.
Reporting to an 11-member Board of Directors, the CEO will be a visible and committed leader that embraces the mission, vision, and values of Montgomery Place. Montgomery Place has annual revenues of approximately $20 million and about 200 total employees. The organization enjoys a strong reputation of providing senior services and embraces a resident-focused model where each individual’s needs are addressed, and an authentic sense of community can be found.
As a non-profit organization, Montgomery Place extends its expertise and talents to its residential neighborhood, the community of Hyde Park and beyond. Montgomery Place builds on the 125-year legacy of serving seniors in the community and throughout the northern Illinois region.
The next CEO will be an experienced senior care leader who will thrive in a diverse urban environment and support transparent resident communication and respect for all members of the Montgomery Place community – residents and their families, staff and community members. The new CEO will develop and lead innovative strategies, build programs that leverage technology innovation and workforce development, and be an ethical steward of the organization’s financial resources. The new CEO will respect the distinctive culture of one of Chicago’s preeminent senior living communities and will become recognized as a leader not just inside the organization but in the broader communities of Hyde Park and Chicago.
A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is a plus. Five years or more of executive leadership experience in a life plan retirement community, senior care organization or similar environment and/or leadership experience across the healthcare continuum is preferred.
