Emerson Health, located in Concord, Massachusetts, just 20 miles northwest of Boston, seeks an experienced and innovative financial executive to serve as the system’s next Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development. The SVP will be a key member of a talented, nimble senior leadership team with a focus on strategic growth of clinical services in the inpatient and outpatient setting as Emerson Health continues to provide high-quality care to the community. Emerson Health is financially strong and has a collaborative and nimble culture which sets it apart from larger, bureaucratic hospitals. As a key member of the executive team, the SVP, Strategy and Business Development will provide leadership for strategic planning, clinical service growth, as well as internal and external partnership and collaborations. The SVP should be viewed as an approachable and visible leader, serving as both a mentor to their team while at the same time being seen as an innovative executive who can move the organization forward to its next evolution.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of healthcare strategy and business development experience to the role and be a seasoned executive who is a strategic thinker, creative problem solver, and a professional of the highest integrity. The qualified candidate will need to be an executive with at least 10 years of healthcare strategy and business development experience. She/he should have success in developing strategic plans and business development tactics within a health system or large ambulatory network in concert. A strong track record of partnering with physicians and other providers as evidenced by growth clinical programs and services is a must. A Master’s degree is required.
