Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science seeks an innovative and visionary individual committed to promoting and fostering excellence in teaching, research, professional practice, and service as its next Associate Dean of Nursing. Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU), Mervyn M. Dymally College of Nursing (MMDCON) invites nominations and applications for an experienced, forward-thinking visionary to serve as the next Associate Dean of Nursing for one of the Best Nursing Schools in 2023, according to U.S. News & World Report, for Nursing Schools with master’s programs.
The Associate Dean provides leadership for the MMDCON and is responsible for all components of the academic administrative portfolio. Educational programs in the MMDCON include baccalaureate, master’s, post master’s certificates and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program delivered in a variety of formats. The successful candidate will partner with the Dean and be a vital contributor to the vision for the MMDCON’s education, research, and service mission, a strong research portfolio, and effectively communicate and collaborate with others. Experience in scholarship and research development is highly preferred. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in nursing or related field, current nursing licensure or eligibility for nursing licensure in California, experience in an academic administrative leadership role, and eligibility for rank of professor or associate professor at time of appointment.
The Mervyn M. Dymally College of Nursing is one of three colleges that comprise the dynamic and innovative Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. The next Associate Dean will have academic administration experience. Experience in scholarship and research development is highly preferred.
