The Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA), a national leadership organization dedicated to serving the nation’s Catholic health ministry, has retained Witt/Kieffer to aid in the recruitment of a Vice President and Chief of Staff that will be located in the Washington, D.C. office.
The Catholic health ministry is the largest group of non-profit healthcare providers in the nation comprised of more than 600 hospitals and 1,400 long-term care and other health facilities. To ensure vital sponsorship and a vibrant future for the Catholic health ministry, CHA advocates with Congress, the Administration, federal agencies, and influential policy organizations to ensure that the nation's health systems provide quality and affordable care across the continuum of health care delivery.
Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief of Staff will facilitate the flow of communication and collaboration across all departments within CHA. He/she will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing processes of creating, monitoring and evaluating the organization’s long term strategic plans. He/she will be responsible for management of the Office of the President and CEO, development of speeches, position statements, editorials, etc. for the President and CEO and representing CHA on coalitions. He/she will have a strong project management focus and an ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
CHA is seeking Masters Degree candidates with a minimum of five years progressive management experience. A minimum of five years experience as a Chief of Staff or Special Assistant to a President and a demonstrated track record in relationship building is preferred.
