Witt/Kieffer has been retained to conduct the search for Vice President, IT Planning & Finance at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York, NY.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center — the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center — has devoted more than 130 years to exceptional patient care, innovative research, and outstanding educational programs. MSK is one of 69 National Cancer Institute–designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, with state-of-the-art science flourishing side by side with clinical studies and treatment. MSK has consistently been ranked one of the top two cancer centers in the country for more than 25 years.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer, the Vice President, IT Planning & Finance (Vice President) is an opportunity for a dynamic leader to serve as a change agent in the advancement of fiscal operations and planning of IT initiatives.  The Vice President is an active member of the IT leadership team and will work collaboratively with the over 35 departmental IT groups across MSK.  He/she will work within the IT Governance structure to develop and deliver value to sustain and grow the enterprise. The Vice President will have a broad scope of responsibility including IT finance with a budget of about $200 million, project management, procurement, vendor management, contract negotiations, service management, help desk services and client technologies.

The Vice President will be a polished executive with strong strategic and operational leadership with an extensive background in financial planning and technology. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish credibility and trust quickly at all levels of MSK. Essential to this role is a clear and effective communicator who has knowledge of best practices and a solid track record of leading high performing teams. A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is preferred.
