Baylor Scott & White Health has retained Witt/Kieffer to assist in their search for a dynamic, experienced financial executive to serve as its next Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  This is an excellent leadership opportunity for a progressive, innovative and contemporary finance executive to help a thriving health system scale existing resources, enhance operations and build increased capacity through the evaluation of continued partnerships, acquisition and organic growth. 

Baylor Scott & White Health’s (BSWH) core financial foundation is exceptionally strong. With a solid balance sheet, positive margins, and a sound investment strategy, the system is strategically well-positioned to continue to thrive in the future.  Over the past few years, BSWH has gone through a period of significant growth, from a collection of health systems, hospitals, and clinics to a fully integrated health delivery system with a successful health plan that supports the healthcare needs of an entire population.  Today, BSWH has approximately $10 Billion in net patient revenue, an accountable care organization and a physician network.  The system also maintains an Aa3 and Aa3/P-1 ratings from Moody’s.

The Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for advising and supporting the system executive team and board of directors.  The CFO leads all matters related to finance across the health system and will work to enhance the role that strategic finance will play in developing new capabilities and growing revenue streams, while also ensuring standardization and accurate reporting capabilities are embedded within the organization.  She/he will be comfortable working in a dynamic and competitive healthcare environment dispersed across a broad geography.   This position is strongly oriented toward establishing a collaborative, strategic partner role with the executive team, senior management team, finance team and board.

The CFO needs to be a strong leader with a proven track record of leading high-performing healthcare organizations, as well as relishing dual transformation in the areas of cost containment and growth.  She/he should have significant financial management experience in a complex integrated delivery network.  Stylistically, the next CFO will be both collaborative and decisive, with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with a rapidly growing health system.  You may be assured that all nominations will be handled with the utmost professional courtesy and confidentiality.
