Beth Sholom Lifecare Community of Richmond, Virginia seeks a progressive and experienced leader as its next Chief Executive officer.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a visionary, collaborative, performance-driven leader to join an organization that at its core is highly committed to supporting older adults and advancing its longstanding history and heritage of providing the highest quality care, customer-service and resident satisfaction.

For more than 70 years, Beth Sholom Lifecare Community has been serving seniors and their families with independent, nursing and assisted living.  From its founding as the first Jewish home for the elderly in the state of Virginia, Beth Sholom has grown steadily in size and reputation and today the community serves 350 seniors and their families on its 16 acres of wooded land, conveniently located near shopping and recreational facilities. The campus is composed of an independent living apartment complex (The Woods), two assisted living communities (Parkside and The Gardens), a Healthcare Center with skilled nursing and a full spectrum of rehabilitative care, and an Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic.

The next CEO of Beth Sholom will be a passionate leader who is dynamic and strategic, with strong operational and financial acumen. The successful candidate will build on Beth Sholom’s many strengths, be highly knowledgeable regarding trends and best practices in senior living and will be visionary and innovative in his/her approach to identifying future delivery models. This executive will work with the Board of Directors to refine and implement a strategic plan for Beth Sholom and will contribute to the development of additional strategies and initiatives to ensure the long-range sustainability of the organization and position Beth Sholom as the premier, high quality senior living organization in Richmond and surrounding communities.

The ideal candidate for the CEO role at Beth Sholom will possess strong Senior Living and CCRC management and leadership experience; a team oriented approach to management and an inclusive leadership style; excellent resident and family relationship skills; and the ability to model and advance the values which inform the culture of Beth Sholom.  This Executive will bring superb interpersonal skills, outstanding business acumen and a record of success in meeting business and financial targets, gained ideally in a senior living organization.  He/she will be a strong advocate for residents and will ensure quality operations, strong financial performance and excellent resident satisfaction.  An undergraduate degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or Gerontology is required and an advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in leadership of a senior living, health care, hospitality or business is preferred.
