Witt/Kieffer is excited to announce that we have been retained to conduct the search for the next Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer for the exceptional Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio, located approximately 50 minutes south of Columbus.

Adena Health System (AHS) has been serving south central and southern Ohio for more than 120 years. AHS includes three hospitals with beds totaling 311 (Chillicothe, Waverly and Greenfield) and several clinics within Chillicothe and spread through-out the five counties that comprise Adena’s primary and secondary service area.  Adena provides quality healthcare for the more than 400,000 people who call south central and southern Ohio home.  With more than 3,000 employees, Adena is the largest employer in the entire service area and serves as a major economic catalyst for the region.

The Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer will provide overall direction through the strategic development and execution of a healthcare compliance and privacy program in support of the mission and strategic goals of Adena Health System. This position will report directly to Jeff Graham, President and Chief Executive Officer of Adena Health System. The Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer also reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees. The Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer shall regularly communicate and consult with the General Counsel to assure that the senior executive management team and Board of Trustees receive coordinated information with respect to the legal and compliance risk profile of Adena Health System.

We are seeking candidates with progressive responsibilities in healthcare compliance, professional work experience working with/for Federal and State Agencies (preferably healthcare related), thorough knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements, demonstrated success integrating compliance into daily healthcare operations and equally possesses integrity, diplomacy and objectivity in their leadership.

A Bachelor’s degree in an associated field is required.  A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or Juris Doctorate or related field is strongly preferred.  Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) is preferred.
